I’ve decided to get back into web hosting and web design. As a first step I’m offering to host a basic web presence for next to nothing. What I am offering initially is a fully functional WordPress site (including a sub domain name) for $25 a year on my-write.com. Your URL (web address) would be <whatever-you-want>.my-write.com … a small bonus is that I will also alias this to .my-write.net and .my-write.org.

This includes an email address (<whatever-you-want>@<your-domain>.my-write.com) and webmail access from anywhere you can get to the internet. This is very full featured email, including auto-responders, mailing lists and a lot of other stuff like aliases and such that you’ll probably never need.

The site will come with a decent assortment of themes available by default, but you can easily install others on your own and I will include a few useful plugins (but again, you can easily add others). The site will have the audio player I’m using here turned on by default, and uploading songs (MP3s) to your site is very easy … There are other players available (like the Yahoo player I use on larrydenman.com), that could take some more work …. less for me than for you, we can talk .

Another small bonus is that I have taken care of an irritating bug on many hosting options that limits the size of uploads. This should take care of file size issues on almost any audio file and most other file types (I’ve upped filesize to 32 MB). We can talk about needs that exceed this, large video files for instance.

Basically you get a fully functional ‘blog that should be adequate for +95% of anyone that wants to get on the web … all for about $2 a month. I can also offer full domain name registration and full blown web hosting along with design services, but honestly I’m still ramping up for all that. Let me know what you need and we can talk.
